CORPEX joined our partner CALMEC at wire Düsseldorf 2026, bringing live machine vision demonstrations directly to one of the world's major wire and cable manufacturing events.
The exhibition brought together manufacturers, machine builders, engineering teams and technology companies from across the global wire and cable industry. For CORPEX, it was an opportunity to demonstrate how machine vision can provide useful production information while manufacturing is actually happening.
Machine vision for the wire and cable industry
Wire and cable production creates a particular challenge for inspection. Product moves continuously, line speeds can be high, and small changes in dimensions, surface condition or process behaviour can become significant quality problems.
CORPEX develops machine vision for wire and cable manufacturing around those production realities.
Instead of relying only on periodic measurements, machine vision can monitor the product continuously and give operators a clearer picture of what is happening while the line is running.
At Düsseldorf, visitors could see the technology operating rather than simply hear us talk about it.
Live machine vision demonstrations
A key part of the CORPEX and CALMEC presence was a live machine vision demonstration operating directly on the exhibition floor.
Digital displays showed real-time inspection, production monitoring and AI-assisted analysis, giving visitors a practical look at how these systems can be used in manufacturing environments.
That created a different kind of conversation. Engineers and production teams could see what the system was measuring and discuss how similar technology could be applied to problems on their own production lines.

Seeing problems while production is running

Düsseldorf is also about relationships. Exhibiting alongside CALMEC gave CORPEX the opportunity to meet manufacturers, engineering teams, distributors and technology partners from around the world.
CORPEX leadership also met with Takuya Okamoto, President of Unitek Japan K.K., with discussions focused on future cooperation, machine vision technologies and advanced manufacturing applications for the wire and cable industry.
From Düsseldorf back to the production floor
Trade shows are useful when the conversations lead back to real manufacturing problems.
For CORPEX, Düsseldorf reinforced the value of showing machine vision working in practical conditions and talking directly with the people responsible for production, engineering and quality.
