Annual Day of Mourning

Today marks Canada’s annual Day of Mourning, which is focused on remembering those who have died, become injured or sick from their workplace environment. It is important to recognize that today is “… not only a day to remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy, but also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses or deaths” (CCOHS, 2020).
