Test Your Beliefs

To gain full control of your life, you must discover your core beliefs, change those that are limiting you. An example could be “I am not smart enough get that promotion.” Or “I will never have enough money to travel the way I want to.” Try this short test that I learned from Tony Robbins to transform your beliefs

  • Identify two beliefs you have that prevent you from doing or having what you want in life.

  • Close your eyes and think about what that has cost you – past or present – in your relationships, your finances, your physical body, your happiness?  
  • Now think forward 5 years into the future. What would those current limiting beliefs cost you if you do not change them?

Now come back to yourself and remember that none of that has happened yet.  
You have a chance to change it. Let’s do that now!

  • Tony Robbins taught us to get energy in our bodies. Right now, stand up and change your body radically. Move as if you felt totally energized, excited and passionate. Come on, get up and dance, do jumping jacks or simply anything that gets you moving. Just for 20 seconds.  
  • After 20 seconds, stop and immediately write down one or two new positive beliefs. Put down what you really want your beliefs to be. An example could be. “I am smart enough to get that new position.” Or “I can save money to travel.”

  • Close your eyes and think about what you gain by having these new positive beliefs? Will you be more happy, more successful financially or have better relationships? Will your physical body be transformed?  
  • Step into the future 5 years with your new beliefs. Where are you in your life now?

Look at both destinies and decide: What serves you and what will you commit to
